Over the past three years, advances in printing and image separation processes have brought about new enhancements in laminate patterns - especially in the wood grain category. Advanced computer programs have produced grain pattern variations and a complexity of design that looks natural enough to fool the eye.

Major manufacturers of laminate flooring include, but are not limited to, Wilsonart International, Armstrong, Mannington, Quick-Step, Mohawk, and many others. All brands of laminate flooring recommend, for almost all applications, the "floating floor" type of installation. This method incorporates an underlayment and moisture barrier material be laid between your sub-floor and the laminate flooring. The laminate is not glued down but rather adhered to each other in the tongue and groove mating of each plank or tile. Most all laminates available today are tongue and groove mated without adhesives using glueless, clik together locking of each plank or tile.

Once your laminate floor is installed, routine cleaning is as easy as vacuuming and damp mopping. Never to be waxed, sanded or lacquered.
